Birds That My Southern Grandma Has seen

1 minute

Here is a list of birds we have seen here up to November 13th, 2022:

Blackbird, Red-Winged

Blue Jay

Cardinal

Chickadee

Crow

Hummingbird, Ruby Throated

Nuthatch, White Breasted

Sparrow, House

Tufted Titmouse

Vulture

Woodpecker, Red-bellied

All but the crows and vultures visit the feeders. (Of course, the

hummingbirds have migrated south and we don’t see any right now.)

We added a number of new species this week!

Dove

Geese, Canadian

Goldfinch

Junco

Starling

Woodpecker, Downy

All but the dove and geese visited the feeders.

It is interesting we have the Junco, because they nest in Canada and

Alaska, then migrate south for the winter.

And did you notice we have Cheepios now too? 🙂

There is one boy and a couple of girls that come to the feeders regularly

now.

We call the big tree by the deck the “parking lot” because lots of birds

sit there and wait their turn to visit the feeder on the deck railing!
