#1. Lesson question! Do the two of you want to do zoology for a few more
months and then switch to something new, or continue zoology for longer
than that, with another check-in in a few months? I’m asking because it
might change what kinds of sets of zoology lessons I do next. Now on to the
“regular” quiz!

E: A show on YouTube about a dog (NOT Rocky Kanaka).
T: I laughed at Scamp this morning when he came in to wake me up and did a
little dance then laid his head on my pillow.
#3. What’s your favorite type of dessert, and when did you last have it?
E: I like Dolly Parton’s Caramel Turtle Brownies. I think it was probably
at a birthday party I last had it, but I am NOT sure at ALL.
T: Shoney’s chocolate ice cream cake with hot fudge sauce. Last had it
years ago while still living in Tennessee.
#4. What’s your weirdest habit?
E: Chewing my fingernails when I go to bed at night.
T: Counting things while I’m doing it, like counting how many pine cones I
pick up.
#5. What’s your favorite thing to watch on Youtube that’s NOT Rocky Kanaka
(Elbow?: 😉])
E: I like to watch Dolly Parton on youtube. Shocking to ALL of you. I also like Dolly music too.
T: Jonny Devaney with his “God makes a dog” or “You want to adopt a…” Or
the funniest are the ways dogs act when a robber comes to the house.
#6. If you could get rid of any one smell in the world forever, what would
it be?
E: Barnyard smells, like the marker I had that smelled like a barnyard.
T: Dead mouse. Just. Yuck.
7. If you had to rename yourself for a year, what name would you pick, and why?
E: Sebastian, because I like Little Mermaid.
T: Galadriel. No one could spell it but it would remind me what a wise old elf I am. 😂
8. If a song played every time when you entered a room, what song would it be?
E: 9 to 5. Because it’s a Dolly Parton song. Shocking to some of you. And I also work at the Raw Carrot. I love it there. I started working there in 2025 this year. It is still new to me.

Ellie: Moose Tracks, because it’s our favorite ice cream and Ellie is
Southern Grandma’s favorite grandchild.
Chrystie: Ellie says Coffee ice cream, because she drinks coffee all the
time. .. T added this one – Coffee with Heath Bar Swirl – “The coffee
represents a sharp wit and intelligence, while the crunchy toffee bits fromthe Heath Bar provide bursts of sweetness and an unexpected crunch,mirroring their ability to provide delightful and humorous surprises in conversation.”
Richard: Birthday cake ice cream, because he always comes up with brightideas like the bright candles on a birthday cake, and he has lots ofgifts. He could also be Saffron Pistachio, for “a culinary king that enjoys gourmet cuisine, or whipping up gastronomic delights at home”.
Jonathan: Bubble gum, because it’s one of Ellie’s favorite flavors, and
Jonathan is one of her favorites. Or “Unicorn Vanilla” for someone who used to watch Little Ponies (but with hot fudge sauce on top of course).
#10. What’s your favorite emoji, and why?
E: 💩 I like it because it makes me smile.
T: 😂 Laughing emoji, because I use it so much.
#11. What TV (or YouTube) channel doesn’t exist but should?
E: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles LIVE.
T: “TV’s Lost Treasures” channel – dedicated exclusively to airing classic, forgotten and rare TV shows and movies, especially mystery or sci-fi.
#12. What’s something a lot of people seem to really like but you just don’t understand why, because you don’t like it at ALL?
E: Pickles. I don’t understand why anyone would like them. My mom likes them pickles that is.
T: The movie “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”. For some reason, it seems like guys especially find it funny, but I just don’t see it.
#13. What’s one of the silliest things you’ve ever done?
E: Calling my dad “Richie” because I think it’s funny. 😀
T: What makes you think I’ve ever done anything silly? 😀
Hmmm, maybe wear an “I Dream of Genie” costume while playing a baritone and marching with the band down the main street of St. Marys for a Halloween parade.
#14. What’s your favorite memory about the other person taking this quiz?
E: When we were catching fireflies at my Southern Grandma’s Tennessee house. And holding my cousin Clara for the first time. That was at my OLD grandma’s house. This was when my Great Grandma was still living. My Great Grandma was my old grandma’s mom. My Great Grandpa was there too at the time. This was when my Great Grandpa was living too. My Great Grandpa was my old grandma’s dad. When I was holding my cousin Clara for the first time that made me smile. 🙂
T: Lots of good ones, but seeing her for the first time when she was a baby still makes my heart smile.
#15. Oh no! You just woke up and you have a tail! What kind of animal is it from?
E: A dog’s tail because I like small dogs like Oreo. That’s true. Oreo is my Old Grandma’s dog.
T: How about a fluffy fox tail? It would make a nice coat to wrap around me when I’m cold. That’s a good idea.
#16. What is your favorite job you’ve had, and why?
E: Working at The Raw Carrot because I like to get flour all over myself. Myla gets flower ALL over her self too. It’s NOT just me.
T: Foliage Design Systems – I took care of plants in businesses. I liked it because I could just go and do my own thing and enjoy the plants.
#17. Who’s the messiest person you know? (Uh oh maybe I shouldn’t ask that)
E: Richard my dad. He just makes me laugh. He does things that makes me laugh. Lots of different things.
T: Sadly, probably myself. (But maybe Jonathan too.)
#18. What’s a small thing (either an object or an action) that makes you happy?
E: Posting to my blog makes me SO VERY happy. I do it every day. Wich meens that my dad will have to keep up with me. I post like crazy.
T: Small thing, ok…. Choosing the aqua-colored bowl for my oatmeal in the morning.
#19. What’s something you think about a LOT (besides bookmarks!)?
E: Posting to my blog. I also think about reading a lot, but I don’t
like to do it. This is true.
T: It’s fun learning about making pollinator and wildlife habitats with
native plants.
#20. In honor of Raw Carrot: if you were a soup, what kind of soup would you be?
E: Tomato bacon soup. Because I like bacon!!
T: Potato soup. Comforting, tastes good, NOT a lot of ingredients.
#21. What’s a smell that makes you immediately think of a memory, and what’sthat memory?
E: The smell of the pillow my grandma and I made for me that was made frommy Great-Grandpa’s shirt. I like it because it reminds me of my Great-Grandpa and the time I used to spend with him.
T: The aroma of lilacs because it makes me think of my mom in our front
yard with the huge lilac bush she loved.
#22. What food do you wish you knew how to cook and were able to cook REALLY well?
E: I wish I knew how to make crepes, but my dad often lets me help make them when he makes them. I also wish I could make soup all by myself so I could be more independent.
T: I wish I knew how to make jelly with natural sweeteners. I’ve tried
making jelly before, and just can’t seem to get the hang of it.
#23. If it was completely safe & comfortable, what type of animal would you most want to cuddle with?
E: A cow. I like them because they give us milk.
T: I would like to cuddle with a big lion. They’re awesome.

E: Last night we had taco salad. I love taco salad. YUM. We are having queso and quesadillas for supper tonight. YUM
T: Last night we had deconstructed maacaroni and cheese. I don’t know whatwe’re having tonight either.
