It’s really hard to pick one favorite game, I like so many and it depends on how I feel at the time and who I’m playing with! So let’s say these are SOME of my favorite games:
When playing with Elbow & her mom, pretty much any of the Disney ones. To make it easy I’ll say the Disney Chronology one too, since how to play it has already been explained.
When playing with friends, let’s say one called Cape May. It’s kind of like Monopoly but way better. You move your person around the town buying land and building different types of buildings, but you can do other stuff too — even birdwatching! I like it because of all the things you can do and different ways you can get points, plus all the fancy building pieces are really nice too!
When playing with Elbow’s mom, it’s one called On The Rocks, where you try to make all your drinks the fastest. You use colored marbles to match the colors on each drink’s card, and can also annoy the other player with special cards that do stuff like spill their drink, take their tip, etc. I like this one because it’s one of the very few games she likes to play too. 😉
When playing on my own… now that’s really hard. Right now I’m going to say a game called A Gentle Rain. It has tiles where each edge has part of a flower. You flip over one at a time and try to match the edges with another tile, and if you match enough of one type of flower you can put out a special flower piece for that flower, showing you watered it. It’s really easy to learn, super quick to setup & then put back up, and very calming which is why I like it.
