Oh my goodness, this is a very hard question! But, I’m confident that I can come up with an answer that my daughter, Elbow, would be happy with and that she could blog. 🙂
#1. What horse did you pick?
I picked the horse called Clydesdale.
#2. Why did you end up picking that horse?
Well, I don’t know very much about horses, but I really like the Clydesdale horses that are in the Christmas commercials and the ones that are in parades.
#3. Was it from Ellie’s horse book that she made with her dad & her Southern Grandma?
Even though Ellie and Southern Grandma’s horse book is AMAZING, I actually picked my favorite horse based on what I’ve seen in TV commercials and parades. Also, my Auntie Barb and Uncle Ross rode in a carriage driven by Clydesdale horses to and from their wedding! Ross’s dad had the horses and carriage. It was very very cool!
#4. Where was it from? The Clydesdale horse originated in Scotland, which is very close to England, which is where Mary Poppins is from!
#5. Why is it your favorite?
I like how big it is and that it’s usually the kind of horse that pulls a carriage. It reminds me of Christmas and princesses!
#6. What are some fact’s about that kind of horse?
A Clydesdale horse is really big and strong. They were often used for farming and pulling machinery before there were tractors. Their color is usually white and brown.
#7. What would you choose for it’s name?
I would name my horse Carl. I like that name for an animal!
#8. What would it’s name mean?
Carl is a North Germanic male name meaning “free man”. The name originates in Old West Norse.
#9. Would it have a last name?
I guess if my horse, Carl, would have a last name it would be BOGGS!
#10. Would it have a middle name?
I would give Carl the Clydesdale a middle name of Scotty. Because that horse came from Scotland!
#11. What would it be?
The middle name of my horse would be Scotty.
#12. Would it be colorful? My Clydesdale horse would be brown and white.
#13. What colors would it be?
Yes, my horse would be brown and white. I would also buy it a saddle that was sparkly blue and silver!
