Chrysalis:
Once the caterpillar is big
enough, it will start to pupate.
This means it looks for something it can hang from upside down in a “J” shape, and attaches it self with sticky silk it makes.
Once hanging for about a day, the caterpillar sheds its skin one last
time and forms a hard shell
called a chrysalis, or a pupa.
