This workplace will empower people with disabilities who often face barriers to employment to learn new skills, contribute, and create delicious gourmet soups for Winnipeg.
We recently had our first official day at The Raw Carrot’s new home, our partner St. Peter’s Anglican Church! It was a fantastic day, connecting with church staff and diving into The Raw Carrot’s vision.
Our discussions highlighted how work provides purpose and allows us to see “work as ability seeing.” We’re so excited to officially launch this summer, with a slow and intentional start. We have equipment to buy, staff to hire, and recipes to learn, but we can’t wait to begin this journey!
