Sally Ride was born in 1951.
When she was 27 she became 1 of the first 6

US women to be trained to be an astronaut. In 1983 she blasted off on the

space shuttle Challenger to become America’s first woman in space. After

she retired from MASA she became a proferssor and wrote science book’s for

young people. Sally Ride died in July. Sally Ride died in 2012. Sally Ride
