Soft Pretzel Recipe
Usually makes 5 to 6 pretzels
Ingredients:
1 package yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg (optional)
Extra salt for the tops
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 425.
2. Mix yeast, water, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
3. Stir in the flour and knead until dough is smooth.
4. Shape into form of arms crossed in prayer and place on a baking sheet
5. Optional: brush dough with beaten egg to make it shiny. Sprinkle top with salt.
6. Bake for 15 minutes.
