Flamingo’s beak’s are lined with row’s of horny plate’s that filter their food from the water, much like a whale does.
Flamingo’s also feed upside-down, dipping their head’s underwater for minute’s at a time.
Because of this, their bill’s have a strong large lower jaw and a smaller upper jaw.
