Today in Social Studies we learned about:
1. First Nations Peoples and how there were over 600 different groups living in Canada2. The Wendat People lived with all their family members in one big house! They took care of the land and grew corn, squash and beans3. The Anishinaabe Peoples lived in villages during the spring and summer, and then moved to family camps during the winter. The families lived in wigwams made of tree bark and grass.4. Three similarities between the Wendat and the Anishinaabe are: both live with families, both are First Nations, and both wore clothes made of animal skins5. Three differences between the Wendat and the Anishinaabe are: they lived in different parts of Canada, they ate and grew different foods, and the Wendat people stayed in the same village all year long
