The AT-STs are bipedal walkers equipped with two chin-mounted cannons, a light cannon, and a grenade launcher on each cheek. Though far smaller than the AT-ATs, they bristle with weaponry and tower over anyone standing on the ground. The Empire uses these crafts for scouting and patrol, as well as for taking out any rebels left behind by the AT-ATs.
