Fledgeling’s 

In the nest, the chicks will develop and altricial chicks will grow and change. Both of the altricial and precocial chicks will begin to develop adult feathers, replacing with any of the soft down they had before. 

As they become less dependent on the parent’s for the nutrition and protection, they will begin to venture farther from the nest. 

Fledgeling’s have completely developed feathers and in the 

flighted bird’s, and they will be taking their ever first, short flight’s at this stage.

shown here has a mixture of the flight 

feather’s, and that are all the way down, and will be soon be ready to take it’s ever first flight’s. 

Most of the fledgeling’s will be begin to fly 

in the short burst’s, venturing away, from the nest a little farther each time.
